Jeanne Arcaro Baily has coached for BRYC Volleyball House League for 4 years and is currently playing a critical role in growing boys volleyball in the Northern VA area by coaching BRYC's first-ever Boy's Club Volleyball Team in the 14's Division. The team won its first tournament on Jan 30, 2011. Jeanne was a standout player at the University of Maryland as an outside hitter and backup setter. She was team captain for her team during her senior year.

Jeanne is an IMPACT Certified volleyball coach with 26 years of coaching experience. She has coached men's, women's and junior teams since 1985. Her first men's team (all new players) went from the worst in USAV at the "B" level to winning the USAV Men's "B" Regional's the same year.

Jeanne has played at the National level in Women's Open and Co-ed Open, even placing 2nd in a Coed Open event. She has been competing at the USAV Nationals in the Women's 40s Division for the last 5 years, playing against ex-nationals players from the US, Canada, Brazil and Venezuela, placing 4th in two of the events.

Volleyball has taken her all over the United States and outside the country (she was a player coach on a women's team that placed 1st in a tournament in the Cayman Islands.)

Although Jeanne still plays volleyball, her passion is now coaching. She enjoys using her experience to motivate and challenge young players. Her training sessions are highly energized and never boring. She pushes her players to be the best that they can be, while still having fun! Jeanne is a true ambassador of the sport of volleyball.

After college, Patty coached a 15's club team in Lafayette and played on several co-ed teams. After taking a long hiatus from volleyball, Patty got back into coaching when her daughter expressed interest in playing. Greg strives for and enjoys watching the growth of each of his players; not only in their physical ability, but in their mental makeup as well. He tries to get the most out of his players through positive reinforcement. He also enjoys handling the administrative duties for the team, such as tournament scheduling and game day coordination. This is Phil’s fifth consecutive year of coaching junior girls. Last year, he coached a 15s team and a BRYC 18s team, and has coached 14s teams during the preceding three years. He will only coach this one BRYC team this season.

As a coach, Phil emphasizes doing the right thing at the right time in the right way. He considers coaching to be a privilege and a terrific opportunity to help young players learn about volleyball skills, mental preparedness, leadership, communication, supporting teammates, and loving the game. He has great fun helping his players improve during the season and seeing their joy as they master new skills. Coaching 14s is especially enjoyable because the players are enthusiastic and improve so quickly. For most 14s, there is a tangible goal of playing high school volleyball next fall.

Phil played USAV adult mens B/BB volleyball with Greg McIntyre and is a member of a senior mens volleyball team that annually participates in the US Adult Open Volleyball Championships.

Phil will co-coach with Greg McIntyre. They co-coached the BRYC 18s Vipers last year and look forward to coaching together again. They have been friends for many years and play on volleyball teams together. They are of “one mind” when playing together, which makes for an effective coaching and teaching tandem. Their goals are to help the girls love the game and acquire the skills to excel in volleyball.

Phil is part of a volleyball family. Phil and his wife of 33 years, Sandy, met while playing recreational volleyball at California State University Long Beach. Their daughters Caitlin and Macara have recently played volleyball for the University of Mary Washington and BRYC/Woodson High School, respectively.
